Urgent - Where can I get rear brake pads on short notice?

Just noticed last night I only have a couple mm's left of rear pad... and the Mighty Car Mods Cruise at SMSP is on this Saturday... Not sure how much punishment the brakes will cop though as its just a "cruise"...

I ordered a set this morning at super cheap, but its not something any of the stores carry in stock... Expected to arrive on Friday (Worst case Monday which is too late - no option for express delivery either).

So since its a bit of an important safety thing... I need to have a plan B. Anyone know where I can get a set on short notice?

    Thanks. :)

Yes I agree that Supercheap don't stock the rear brake pads.
Everytime they have a two for the price of one deal, I am always disappointed because it only applies to in store stock.

I recently bought a set of rears from online and received them, haven't put them on yet.

I think there are plenty of Zed owners who could give you their old used set that has a bit left on them. Just say where you are located.

What supercheap or repco or the local car parts shop doesn't stock DB1220's they are as common as politicians promises.

A dedicated Brake shop will have them if the usual suspects don't have them on the shelf.

Crisis overted folks. pads came in today - picked them up at lunch. I can't believe they came in the day after I ordered them, especially when they said it would take 4 to 7 days.

The labels are correct. The real test will be tonight when I try to install them.

Quick question, what do you guys use to properly clean the pistons before pressing them back in? My weapon of choice would be brake dust spray or just kero and a toothbrush... though its really not good for the rubber seals...

I hosed the brake area down and came back when it was dry. Used the brake spreader and swapped them in. I assume the rears will be the same process.

I didn't do anything else except check the fluid level in the brake reservoir.

If you are keen, you could do a gravity feed brake fluid flush with new fluid. As it leaks out, you top up the reservoir. Do a search on YouTube
