Well thought I better start putting up some progress pics of my build. Bought the car about 5 months ago, it blew a hicas hose on way home so started d pulling it down. Bought lots of go fast goodies that will be going in, and on Sunday started the body work for an outside respray in factory colour EH7, pearl yellow glow. Enjoy the pics

Yeah going the factory pearl yellow glow. Got twinz rear bar, kaminari skirts, twin vented nose panel and modified 2k bar courtesy of the dead urhyns wreck and thinking carbon fibre mission wing lip, ive done the Brazilian but will wait and see how it looks like that completed/painted before I buy the lip.

Well body has been blocked, spot primed and just needs wet rub and it is ready for paint. Should be in its new clothes in next two weeks. Gotta go steal a money tree somewhere so I can buy some bigger turbos for the forged motor to hit 500hp+ atw territory. Until then I will just boost the life out of the factory donk and get it tuned to suit. Can't see a problem getting 400hp out of factory arrangement with all my bolt ons with tune.:cool

So after cracking the shits and deciding to sell it I've had a change of heart after a couple months off the tools. After kaminari and concept z stuffed me around with shit fitting side skirts I decided to make it someone else's problem and Palmed it off for a small fortune to have the spoiler shop fit them, cost more than the skirts did to have them fitted but they did a good job of it,.and they also did the final prep work on the extremely bad fitting genuine mission rear lip that I had to modify the hell out of to fit. Now since I've got my rant out about terribly manufactured body kit parts, I decided to go on with the z so here she is, body and internals are in paint, plan to finish the hanging panels this week.

Oh and bar was perfect fit, it had been previously on another vehicle so I just had to cut some.meat out for the rear tow hooks to fit through

So my saga continues, I swear if it was raining pussy I'd get hit by an arse hole. So once reassembled panel colour didn't match..... Not f@#IN happy, same number coats, same painter, same gun same paint.... Just not my day. So wetsanded entire car and painted it again tonight as a whole unit. Thank god it worked out and apart from a small.repair which can.be.seen if your looking for it, it all turned out well.

So now that you've had a shit load of practice, could you paint mine?

    Yeah.... NO!!!

I forgot how much work is involved, it's still not 100% but unless you know the faults are there you won't spot them easily. I've still got an fpv typhoon front end to paint for my daily wagon and an xb falcon project so I've got enough painting ahead of me as it is. Next is interior strip out and refit including functional heater fan box, fresh leather seats and then mechanicals.

Thanks to the paint supplier for f%$@ing the base colour they mixed up on Friday, the yellow it looks more Lamborghini yellow than the Nissan colour but I actually quite like it.

And yes, all panels match this time..... Thank god

So some more updates, nearly finished interior fitment, custom sub box manufactured and installed, stereo tested and sounds awesome, hertz 6.5 front components amped, single 10" Rockford costars p2 punch and alpine old 5x4 rear fill that was already installed. Paint was rubbed back.and flow.coated along with some blow in repairs. Unfortunately the Damn binder the pearl is suspended in is extremely aggressive and has reacted in.a couple places so I.Will have to.repair down the track. You don't see the reaction unless your like 1 foot fromn the car and inn the sun light.

So I guess an update is well and truly over due. Interior is pretty well finished, just boot area to reassemble after bumper refitted. New glass front and rear and nice dark tint all round. Just got the rear bumper and spoiler back from painter, hydordipped in a semi rrealistic carbon fiber print with a satin clear so looks mickey mouse now and nicely breaks up the yellow pearl.

Front twin super street coilovers, nismo upper arms and cucso front arms fitted last weekend. Rear I think I'll do on hoist whilst I do the engine/box/exhaust.

Engine, what a headache, heads had 16 bent valves and on tear down the original owner of the car must not have put coolant in or dne a cooling system flush because it was full of mud. Had the block acid dipped and lightly honed, heads refurbished as required and then brought home to assemble. Definitely worth the money I paid for it, wiseco pistons, eagle rods, race bearings, head studs etc... I got the long motor assembled and sealed up with heads on, pulled the dust cover/Matt from under the new engine and when I shook it out outside I heard a metallic tink tink tink..... Oh no, look on ground and see 1/4 of a compression ring..... So pull heads back off and look down bores for too ring gap, of course all top rings were intact... Methodicaly pull the first pistons I iinstall out as I used two different ring compressors and there it is, #3 f!?king broken.

Now ordering some new rings, the wiseco pistonring compressor and some other goodies from coz.... Oh well, such is life.

Also got some Nice new 2k front indicators from Nissan trade for $65 each.... WINNING

So that is pretty much it now, since I'm running a full house bottom end and looking for big horsepower again (and too jewbag tight fisted to port heads/cams) I'm going to have to rely on big boost so the HKS 2510's are being on sold and a set of gt28rs turbos going in there spot.
