Haha too right! I have Third-Party Fire & Theft, as full cover is a bit out of my price range. And as the attack was simply mindless vandalism, and not fire nor theft, I'm not covered.
Damn as much as people think full insurance is out of their price range it's still better off having it, even these days you can get the pay by month ones. Hope it isn't going to cost you too much for the repairs man.
Shit Jesse, sorry to hear about the dramas mate! Is the zed your main car? If not & you do less than 9k a year give RACV classic insurance a call (zeds now qualify as classics!) they are ridiculously cheap for full cover. Swapped mine last month, $350! Good luck with the repairs mate, will be looking awesome soon
Lowest I was quoted was no less than $1500, and unfortunately I didn't have that on hand when I purchased the car so third party was the go. Cheers man. Ahh that's so good Tim! But my Zed is my daily, so there's no way I'll qualify. Hopefully it'll be back to its former glory soon.
WOW with a quote like that, i'll presume your under 25 or possibly had a previous claim. If under 25 maybe get mum or dad to put it under their name with you as a listed driver. It'll work out cheaper, but your excess will still be high for at fault stuff. Just some food for thought. Maybe a tech day will help you get some stuff fixed, or lend you a few old legal tyres till you can get good decent ones, maybe a s/h window on the cheap, and mehhh who cares if it's even painted. The new trend i hear multi toned
Just under 25. Yeah I'll definitely look into putting the car under their name, will have to compare. Don't think a tech day will be necessary, already replaced the window and got a new bonnet going on tomorrow. Hoping the damage to the guard can be repaired, just got them rolled so not too keen on replacing them. Also got 4 S15 Stock wheels with brand new tyres from a mate for now. At least it can be driven. :br:
