Movember

No doubt a lot of you are aware of, or even participating in Movember

I thought it is such a worthy cause I should give as many people a chance as possible of getting behind it.


If you don't know what it's about, here are some details:


Male health is a major issue, did you know:

1. Men are far less healthy than women. The average life expectancy of males is 6 years less than females.
2. Every year in Australia 2,700 men die of prostate cancer, more than the number of women who die from breast cancer.
3. Depression affects 1 in 6 men Most don't seek help. Untreated depression is a leading risk factor for suicide. Rates of suicide are more than double the national road toll.

The money raised by Movember will be used to change the face of men's health by creating awareness and funding research into prostate cancer and male depression.

I'm a bit surprised by the lack of respose to this.

Don't think a couple of dollars can't make a difference, because lots of couple of dollars make a lot of dollars

The issues Movember seeks to aid are very important and at the rate they occur will either directly or indirectly effect nearly every one of us in our liftime.

This is not a scam, Movember is supported by big name companies like Motorola, Remmington, Fosters Group and Polaroid. Your donation will be tax deductable just like any organised charity.

I have nothing to gain from this, I just think it is an important cause.
