Since I've sold off my red NA, I haven't been on the forums as much. Its been a while since I've been posting of the forums but I still lurk around the for sale sections once in a while to get my parts hording fix every now and then for my other Z overseas. Heres the red Z i used to own, still miss it till this day.

Long story short, didn't think I'd get another Z in Australia but I went out and bought another Z anyways.:zlove: I guess I'll finally get to see what all the fuss on 2+0 is about.

This car is in pretty bad shape all around but I decided that it will be better to get it back to it former glory with lots of TLC and work. I've got a list of parts with me waiting to go into the car along with some additional plan for the Z in the future.

I'm looking at getting the car the necessary fixes for blue slip and rego along with a 120k service and plenum pull to hopefully fix up any issues and freshen up the engine. After that i'll be hoping to get these things done:

    BC BR Coilovers
    Nismo LMGT2
    RGS RHD Headers
    Nismo Steering Wheel
    Recaro SR3
    Rear Strut Brace
    Replace damaged connectors
    Relocate Battery
    Underdrive Pulley
    Thermo Fan
    Nistune
    Manual Conversion
    Fix Panel Damage
Replace or fix up the hatch

I already have some of the parts that I need with me...

But I have other parts that I debating whether to toss in or not, those include a whole bunch of adjustable suspension parts and a Nismo cluster.

More to come but gotta get it rego'd first.

    Its back in black

    Progress is being made!

Since the last update the zed has been worked on and taken care of by Rob to get the 100k service, plenum pull general tidy up of the engine bay as well as fitting alloy engine shield. headers and coilovers. Huge thanks to Rob for taking care of her and keeping me updated. Couldn't be happier when i picked up the car. After that, i spent a whole day running about trying to suss out the blue slip and rego.

After the wait, its finally registered and on the road now! I've stock piled a bunch of parts waiting to go in now. I just realised that i don't have any before shots of the engine bay.

    Obligatory photo dump :zlove:

The zed still has issues that need to be sorted out but she is running relatively well now. Just breaking her in with a few drives to see if theres anything else that needs attending to.

I saw your car when it was at Robs. Good work going through so much service work, getting a lot out of the way. Car really needs some cosmetic work done though.

FM300 - yup, that was the same guy, when I saw it, I pretty much bought it off him on the spot.

anti - thanks, yeah the exterior is really shabby but I'm not too fussed about it, it's kind of low priority on my list of things to fix on it but I'm planning to tackle it one part at a time.

So just a quick update, I've been busy gathering parts in the last few weeks to help get the zed progressing along the plans i have for it. I haven't got any photos of it lately but I've managed to get my hands on a hatch in great condition with a halo wing and a TBL on it to replace the old rusty hatch. Also found a set of aus spec door cards to replace the door mounted door cards, some second hand mouldings that looks heaps better to replace the broken plasti dipped ones previously on the zed. Lastly, i got a new set of plates that at least fit properly in the rear bar and looks better than the black and yellow plates.

    Its progressing slowly but surely!

Progress has been made! I should have a manual conversion on its way, just missing a tailshaft to make sure i can get things going.

That aside, i picked up some 2+2 window mouldings for free and just chucked them on to replace the old mouldings, makes all the difference. Of course, there was a bit of modification required to make them fit.

    Ta dah!

After that, i picked up a pod and installed it after a while of trying to pull the stock airbox out.

"New" lock set got installed asap just to replace the old steak knife set.

And during the week, the zed decided to piss itself. Coolant pipe got damaged by the ps pump belt....

So while waiting for the new lower rad hose, i got to work and ripped out the boot trim to fit the strut brace, mount the fire extinguisher, cut the boot trim to fit it all and then proceeded to rip most of the sound deadening.

When the new hose arrived, it was time to work under the car, figured it was time to fit the whiteline sway bar.

As much as i should have, i didn't get around to fitting the rear swaybar, adjustable end links and front under brace. Instead, i decided to get an immobilizer and alarm fitted ASAP so that i won't have to worry as much each time i leave it. Now the zed's given me a new problem, leaking high pressure power steering hose

You blurred your key...? That's a bit much.

I have a lower rad hose you can come grab on the house if you want it back on the road quicker.
