There is a guy in Melbourne who was slammed into a wall recently from a similar event, got picked up by a gust when he was out to sea. Just got out of hospital a few days ago after 11 weeks, much of it in a coma!!
I have kitesurfed for the last 4 years and it dosnt matter how long or how good you are ,there are always the times when all of a sudden the wind comes up and away you go on a little adventure. One very lucky dude indeed
Soo... I've decided I'm NEVER taking up kitesurfing. My 5'8, 60Kg structure would see me either blown out to sea or sitting on top of the Q1 in Surfers. I'll pass Fate...
