    Benny_C About as subtle as...

I have also heard from a few people that thrust bearings historically last longer than BB turbos.

We can use GT2860RS CHRA in them. Just depends on how much coins you like to spend. BB turbos do spool up tinny bit faster then sleeve bearings depend on the size of the turbo.

In theory the BB should last longer as it runs without the thrust washer. In practice it depends on working environment it is in. You will find they die lot quicker when working with age engines.

There is a dyno day coming up I'll be going on. I don't know how well my car is running at the moment performance wise but I'll have atleast some sort of reading soon.

I'm really keen to see these results. I have been on the silvi aforums ect and have sen nothing but positive feedback for the Hypergear turbos. I would definately like to see the power delivery of the different turbo sizes on a VG30DETT. From what I can tell about 250 rwkw is possible with the right mods on stock turbos and injectors, so I would expect that even the 280 hp turbos would punch out 300 rwkw plus with the right tune and larger injectors.

i think what most of us are asking is, the power figures of a vg30dett engine...because engines from different cars will read different power outputs...if you organise your zed quickly and get a dyno reading then people will be to see how well your turbos go on our cars...you can show us heaps of videos with different cars but that wont really tell us anything until we see a 300zx with your turbo...it will only help your cause:D

were was the probe . positioned ..

whats going on with the z32 .. does it have your turbos on it yet....,

i can jump on a vl turbo site and tell people what my zed does ..

i mean we drive zeds not s13 s14 s15 . we just want to see what our cars will do with your turbos ....

and that Nissan Silvia is that you car or is it a customers car ...

that dyno means nothing ,, we know nothing about it .. ,,, and I'm sure its not a stock engine ,,,,, but either way its not a zed ...

people if you are going to all the trouble in putting turbos on you car , and changing this and that , dont you want to know what YOUR CAR is going to do or what it may do ....

nothing personal mate , at all.. ive meet you years back , and your a nice bloke , no problem ...

my point is we drive 300zx's not Silvia's, skyline's, vL's etc etc ...

we need to know what your turbos are going to do in our cars ...
we need to know what other mods the 300zx has , in order to say , OK i really should get this number , or close to it in my 300ZX because it was tested with a 300zx ..not tested on a 1.8L and it got 300rwkw . means nothing to us ..

every turbo is different and every car is different ,, bottom line

I obviously know this turbo is not made for the 300ZX. Its not easy work making tracking footages. Get a pop corn and enjoy the show.

For any one's interested to know the track car's specifications. Its a 1.8L CA18det with a TR43i turbo using 270/11mm Tomei cams, running 700cc injectors, Nistune ECU, Z32 AFM, and ACL forgied pistons.

As for my own 300ZX the engine's almost out. I'm making a pair of 320HP turbos for it. I will keep my updates in this thread.

Just come across a high flow job that a customer is offering to us. I guess this would be a very cheap way to get Garrett Ball bearing turbos fit with minimum modifications

    From this website:
    http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?cPath=6_16&products_id=2965

I'm not sure if this is in AUD or USD but they are about half price of we can get them from Garrett here. Buy those CHRAs send them to us with your old turbos, we can re-profile your factory housings to suit them. and will only cost you $300 per turbo. So for under 2G you can have a twin GT25BBs in your 300ZX.

What power would you expect out of the Z1 525 cores in stock housings?

Also cost would be more like $2300-2400 plus installation. So around $4500 to have them in your car.

yeah theres a cores charge on those hey. id guess 300rwkw max, id love to see a compressor map though

I think about 300rwkws in stock housings. They similar to ATR25 in 280HP profile.

this is the dyno sheet for gt525 but with race fuel and of course an american dyno......

The race fuel would have made a massive difference. Are they also high flowed into stock 300ZX housings?
