Ebay Short Shifter - Replacement Bushings?

So the short shifter I got from ebay a few years ago didn't come with a bushing that connects to the factory linkage. The included plastic ones were way too big, so I made one out of tightly rolled paper (obviously has gone soft) I think a bronze bushing is supposed to be used.

Does anyone know where I can get the appropriate bushing? If not, does anyone know what size they are so I can get them machined?

    Thanks.

*Sorry if this has been covered before, but I wasn't able to find any clear answers from googling or directly emailing the ebay sellers*

I think they were the same size as OEM. It's been many years since I mucked about with one though. Bronze bushes in the OEM shifter are good though ;)

You need to measure the diameter of the hole, this will be the OD of the bush.
Then measure the diameter of the bolt or pin, this will be the ID of the bush.
Then you need to determine how long it needs to be, obviously this will be the length.
Once you have the above information, wander off to somewhere like Repco, or CBC Bearings etc & ask if they have sintered bronze bushes as per the above sizing.

Plastic ones do fit just need to grind the ends down a bit that's all.

I found that the plastic bushes had waaay to much slop... as if there was supposed to be another sleeve go between the shank of the bolt and the bushing. I.E. the hole was way too big.
I'm beginning to suspect though that the ID of the ebay shifter pivot is the same as standard, so I am guessing the standard ones will fit.

Yeah have to use the sleeve that goes through on the standard shifter mine was too tight so i just used the bushes and gave the shifter away and used the original one lol

they are the same, I recall years freezing the bronze replacement busghes so they shrink and we bashed a set into a AMS short shifter. stands to reason stock will probably go in too.
