Bit of an update for the zed community!
Brand new engine harness has been hacked up to add a few wires etc, stitched back up and installed.

Targa hook and roof liner + rear view mirror, sun visors, some trim pieces, parcel shelf, Cleaned and fixed up the carpet.

Sat the new seats in I got way back when I picked up the zed over 2 years ago.

Touched up on the re trimming i started months ago.

Interior is starting to take shape now.
Got the air con box tested for any leaks, so the next step is installing heater core, air con and fan box under the dash, followed by the dash, woop!

Pics!!! (Thanks MickW for lending me a decent camera that shows the dust all the much better! :p)

Looking good Alex :D...did you end up getting the interior reupholstered with Dantrim? Or did you have a crack yourself?

I started them ages ago, never got around to finishing it,
so im finishing and cleaning up each part as they go in.

Later on i might get a pro to do it, but they dont look too bad.

haha I know what you mean,
Hopefully I can get all the glass tinted and installed soon. Waiting on the targa cap things to get painted so the targas can go back together.

And putting the dash in today, good chance ill miss something and will have to be removed again later on...

Sorry guys, ive been a bit busy lately.
ATM the dash is back in, quarter windows have been ordered and on the way. once they arrive its all in for tint then install.

Still waiting for the paint to be cut back, to remove any remaining orange peel etc.

Once paint is cut photos will come :D

Wow nice work, that paint looks stunning. A lot of hard work but it all paid off with an awesome result like that. Are the back rear windows difficult to put back in again?

Im getting a windscreen mob to install all the windows, except doors, after i get them tinted..
Not a job i would tackle myself, as i would probably end up with leaks etc

Ah fair enough, some jobs like that are much less of a headache to let someone else do it. The paint looks remarkable, a huge difference from the spray paint orange when you first got it.

IM BACK!, Where did I go you might ask?... Nowhere,
Been a bit busy over the past month or two helping a mate (DEVLXR) build his house. But thought its time to give an update.

But the dash is now in, most of the trims. Waiting on door windows to be installed before the door cards go on.

All the windows were taken in yesterday for tint + will be installed very soon along with a new windscreen.

Paint is now 90% cut back, so looks even better than before.
I have a big order coming in from CZP with MickW (Thanks again Mick!)

A few more parts on the the list to get painted soon, (stereo surround, targa cap things, new window cowls, brake booster) etc.

The TT engine from the black doner car has also been stripped down, Taking it in soon to be checked for cracks etc.

Engine bay is getting ready for new engine.
Still have noo clue what some parts are for, but learning along the way.

Sorry about the poor photos, (taken from phone)

Amazing effort Alex, starting to look like a car again!! A real credit to you
I'm sure the engine build will go well if you keep up the same attention to detail that you've shown so far.

( still no sign of our latest CZP order having been shipped :( )

Alex has been busy lately :)

Great to see more parts going back onto the car mate. And the gloss black works a treat with that duco.
I realise you're still test-fitting things and cleaning off the buffing compound etc but here's a few detail pics -

Don't know about you guys but I aint never seen my reflection in a windscreen wiper arm before :p

Alex, you've made some great choices with the styling and put a massive amount of work into the details, it's really paying off.
    Kudos mate.
