Hey guys, as the title suggests I'm selling custom Sub Boxes. Some of you may have seen the old thread, which is locked and hopefully deleted. This is a completely new thread, which has an order form sort of thingy, just to speed up the process and knock out a heap of confusion involved in the process. Either post the order form on this thread, PM me (and let me know bout the PM on this thread) or e-mail me the order form (again letting me know via this thread). As I finish orders I will post pics on here to both show example of what can be done, as well as to show customers that their work is complete (I will also let you know via PM). Dont be afraid to ask for something completely custom, as I am willing to make it at a very competitive price and quality. All the boxes are made SPECIFICALLY for a 300zx, and will more than likely never fit another car. These boxes are made to look like they BELONG in your car. _____ORDER FORM: _____- Do you want Side Boxes, Rear Boot Box or a False Floor Box? __________- If side boxes, do you want 1 or 2, and if 1 which side? (drivers or passengers) _____- Is your car 2+2 or 2+0? _____- What diameter subs will you use? (Depth of the sub as well plz) _____- What material finish would you like? (Carpet, Faux Leather, etc.) _____- Would you like ports or silicon sealed box? _____- Would you like terminals on the box? _____- Do you require a separate box/mount for the amp? _____- Do you require a False Floor? _____- Do you want any extras? (ie. lights, grills etc) _____ _____- Any extra details or requests for your box/es? Like i said, filling out that order form will make this easier on all of us, and will probably speed up the process. I will keep everyone up to date with the progress on their boxes, and payment/shipping can be organised once the box is fully complete. I make all my boxes in good faith, which means there is no payment for me until the box is exactly what you want Cheers, Jordz -------------------------------- 0430 431 350 -Jordz-@live.com
I still think you need an example of a set of boxes that you have made... Good idea tho... I'm interested...
+1 We're only going by examples where your product looks like another, but I'd rather see your end product, it's dimensions, and whether or not it sits flush with it's surroundings. I haven't purchased the sub yet, as I'd like to find out what the largest diameter (and depth) will be that your box can accomodate.
I'm currently working on a pair of side boxes and rear boot box for a 2+2. I dont think it will be that long before im done, so i will have at least one demo box up for you guys
Made the housing for the drivers side sub. The INNER dimensions of these sub boxes is L-31cm x W-21cm x D-21cm(deepest single point). I can extend the width inside the box to the full 31cm if the frame/magnet of your sub has a bit of a lard-arse, but it will cost an extra $5 as its a fiddly time consuming process. The face of the mount (where you screw the sub into, assuming you just drop the sub in and screw it in like most) allows to fit a 12inch sub with a bit of room to spare on all sides. Is there any other dimensions you will need to make your purchase?
Got camera yesterday, progress pics in the morning Noted, sending you a pm with pricing soon. Pics will be arriving soon, will only be progress pics but.
Hey guys, just letting you guys know how progress is going. Currently doing two side boxes, and a small rear box for 'NoBull22'. Sorry about the dodgy shadowing on the pics, very bright outside This is the full setup, outside of the car. I had to take the picture outside of the car as my boot/hatch are throwing shadows everywhere, and I couldnt get a good photo in. I dont know whether or not you can tell because of the shadow from the box, but the base of this box is cut to within 3mm(max) of the boot. I'm using 4mm carpet for his boxes, so the fit will be a very snug fit, with no movement at all. Once again, you cant see to well thanks to the freakin sun, but if you look closely you may be able to see that the box lines up perfectly with the existing structure in the boot, as well as flush with the top of the boot at its highest point Hopefully these pics can make up a few minds for the indecisive ones of you, but if not, these boxes will be done in a week or two (seeing as i work full time and never have any time to do what i want) and there will be finished pics then
Displacement? Hey Jordz, Do you know what the internal displacement of that box is? I ask because most 10" subs have a recommended internal box displacement of between 15 and 30 litres, with most 12" subs recommending between 25 and 40 litres (most generic 10-12" boxes are about 1 cubic foot (~28L)) Regards -Shamas
I'm interested, was there a price somewhere listed and I just missed it? Looking forward to seeing final pics of completed boxes.
No price listed, but im doing those side boxes and a false floor for $80. The boxes are sillicon sealed, carpeted, and have terminals. If your interested tell me what you want and ill let you know the price.
Any pics of the finished product? Also, not sure if you remembered or not, but if you're sealing the boxes with silicone caulk then you MUST leave it to dry for about a week BEFORE you install the subwoofer drivers. The reason for this is that as the silicone sets it releases acetone, which degrades most of the common foams and rubbers used in speaker surrounds... which is bad...
Progress has been slow, thanks to a few issues completely unrelated to my sub boxes. Will post some unfinished pics sunday, Yet to aquire carpet tho... Free time has been very choked up with things going on around my home. Sorry for the very slow build time on the demos guys.
