    Hey Guys

Out of curiosity, how many hours would book time to change a knock sensor on the zed be??? spoke to nissan, they said that its a full days job and would take about 8 hrs to remove and replace..... does this sound about right.

Leave replacing the existing det sensor

until you have reason to pull the upper/lower plenum or remove engine or gearbox. Waste of time doing now if you will have to do any of the above later down the track...

Most people in the interim either :

    1) bypass with a 10cent 1M Ohm resistor from dick smith = 10min tops

    2) or RELOCATE a new det sensor onto one of the plenum bolts. = 30 mins tops

Tech articles in tech section on how to do both

Correct and correct Mark ( unless you were doing it on my car:D )

    Why?

Because you've removed the EGR or that we had to originally run a wire straight from the ECU with an inline resistor to an earth in the passenger footwell due to wiring loom probs in the engine bay)
    ;) ;)

Because, as we all know, I can now replace(if I ever need to) the det sensor in car

by reaching into the enormous hole created by EGR & mount removal. Awkward, but do-able, even though I shouldn't need to do it in the future. But you never know
