Hey guys, just thinking into radiators on these cars, has anyone upgraded to aluminium items? What would be the best options? Thicker triple pass cores etc?

    What options are there?

Most of them work well. I have a koyo in the shed off a race car that has a repair on it. Used it in my red zed for about 5 years.

    Cheap for you.

Mishimoto for $400 off eBay works pretty well; the fan shroud fits etc.

Depends what sort of performance you want and what the rest of your cooling system is like. I've run one of the cheap, thick ASI units off ebay and as far as cooling it was fine with fmic, vented bonnet, no AC etc. but I was even taking it to the track without issue. It did have a problem with the overflow outlet though which I had to fix up, and being so thick was a pain for getting the shroud on and off, I've gone to a much thinner PWR unit I got in a wreck.

I'm still running an ASI ebay radiator for 8 years now ..

Does a great job . .. If it stuffs up I 'll be spending another $150 for a new one .:)

Is the Koyo and Mishimoto rads thicker than factory?

I've got a big thick one off of EBay and it works great, due to the thickness the old shroud wouldn't fit so I made a new one out of some sheet metal. Wasn't overly difficult.

ASI one with the shroud fitted.

For the price/functionality you'd be crazy to look at to Koyo ones.

Yep again. Both koyo and bok choi fit with shroud for me.
