Got my Fan the other day, very happy , well packaged and looks good cannot tell the difference between the 2 .

He was treated very unfairly.

The thing to remember is this.
Legally speaking and it appears not many people realise this. When you pay a deposit you have made a legally binding contract, whether there is a written agreement or not. Basically a deposit acts as a surety, and is a contract, regardless if you have signed anything or not. This surety guarantees you will keep your side of the bargain, if you change your mind the seller is entitled to keep your deposit.

If you read SIM300's own words you will realise he is aware of this fact.
" I wrote a PM to you asking if you could confirm, in which you replied no they are not, but they are exactly the same etc... which I appreciate. You also offered me a refund, which I appreciated even more as I know this is not something you HAVE to do."

Quite disgusting really how this has been twisted around into zx299 wrongfully withholding money. In fact he kindly agreed to a refund and the entire kerfuffle had been twisted into something it is not.

But hey, don't let the truth or the facts get in the way of abusing your powers.
