Seek and you shall find. (search) ;) Using this facility will give you rough estimates. Try ringing around and get quotes done like anyone else would.

working 7:30am to 6pm makes it a bit difficult to ring around, thats why i am after rough estimates. Curiose to see what people pay for resprays aswell.

$5,000 is a good number for a lick.

$10,000 if you want a bare metal / engine out job.

For my 2-seater I paid $3000 and got a pretty decent job, only exterior respray, so no engine and no door sills etc..but parts were rubbed back to bare metal and others weren't, however we installed and removed all of the parts...so all they did was prep and paint

thats good value i reckon jaybo, on the assumption its a really good job (which from the pictures ive seen, yours appears to be)

the thing with paintwork is, the skys the limit.....you can pay mega bucks for paintwork, just depends on what you want/need done.....

i do all my own myself. i go baremetal all the way so u dont have any peeling and no chance of anything failing. plus u dont know what was under it before. costs me 2k in products (primers, colour and clear ) im doing my 2+2 at the moment and the roof so far has taken 3 days (just getting it nice and smooth gotta love factory paint that is paper thin :D). price usually depends on what needs to be done (i worked for a place that did baremetal week drive in drive out for 10 - 14k show finish) they no longer exist now :( (drugs and gambling always brings the good ones down). anyhow good luck with it mate

... only a year old ...??? .. i would definitely be taking it back to them for some sort of resolution ... that is unacceptable and outrageous ...!!!!

remember that a significant element of the respray cost would have been included in your purchase price ....
