part number for NGK copper plugs

    i just need the part number for copper plugs..
    cant seem to find it

    bcpr6es-11 for n/a
    bcpr6es 0.8 gap for TT

    maybe go for some BKR7E in a real hot tt

    I use ZFR7F-11......

    in the tt. Copper is good for tuning, it saves getting the iridiums wet :cool:

    yeah 7's are probably the way to go in a TT, i think ill change mine .

    personally i think 1.1 is too much in a TT with high boost and/or aging coilpacks

    I use ZFR7F-11
    why use an n/a gapped plug for a turbo car?

    because under high combustion pressures it is much harder for the spark to jump the gap, so in high compression n/a or boosted TT a smaller gap is generally used.

    ageing coilpacks also dont put out as much spark as new ones and cant jump a 1.1 gap so you get missfires under load

    wouldnt that mean that you would want a shorter gap length in order for the spark to not have as far to travel?

    yup, thats what im saying. 0.8 gap in TT's in my opinion

    thats what i was saying aswell lol
    meh i dont have a tt anyway its just common sense that if you want it 2 run better
    on boost then you would want a plug thats gapped shorter

    Stock gap for TT is 1.05mm. You really want the largest gap you can without plug blow-out. 0.8mm gap is used all the time in TT's because of blow out under load/higher boost. The better solution would be to get some good aftermarket coil packs like splitifre, hks or even some bosch coils then keep the gap nice and big and get a stronger spark. :)

    I use 0.8mm gap on pretty much all boosted TT's because people don't want to spend the dosh on the good stuff. It works just as well though. And for the high boost, colder plugs are the way to go; 7's in street cars and we run 8's in a lot of our drift cars.

    I use BKR7EIX for iridiums and ZFR7F for copper. (the -11 is too large for higher boost.).
