haha yeh it is...well its a couple of those colours... apparently it was hard to match (panel beaters words) so i now have about 3 burgandy colours; front bar, front right fender, rest of the car front bar isnt too bad... fender is horrible, done by previous owner sorry for mini hijack
Thanks for the comments everybody Oh and driving without power steering is terrible I am still using my daily driver to get around until I get everything sorted on the Z,
I'm impressed..... the thread managed to get to page 2 before the stupid question was asked :whatever: Even if she was in her 'latter years', weighed in at a slimming 20stone, only had 2 teeth in her head, was cross-eyed, and had never used a razor in her life.... You'd still have SFA of a chance at a date ! :nono: Grow up ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nice looking car Jes :cool2: & my appologies for the "desperate and dateless" :whatever: that appear here occasionally ! Kingy
I checked the oil and fluid levels today Everything was fine until i checked the radiator... When i opened the radiator cap OMG it was filled with rusty water, not coolant I want to try and do a radiator flush myself I searched some old threads on how to do this and it seems pretty straight forward... I have tried to open the little tap thing on the bottom of the radiator, but it got stuck, I turned it about two full turns anti clockwise and it got really tight, Am i turning it the wrong way? Or should i give up with the tap thing and just pull off the bottom hose? Thanks again everyone..... sorry for the dummy questions Jess
also make sure you get proper distilled and de mineralised water and not water straight from a tap to mix with your coolant concentrate it might pay to do a plenum pull and change all your old hoses and delete the ones that arent needed....
Can I use tap water to flush it out a few times before adding the coolant and distilled water? Can I buy a pre-mixed coolant? Oh and what shout i do about the little tap thing its stuck? If I pull off the bottom radiator hose will i get rusty water all over me lol
Trust me, pay a shop to power flush the whole cooling system it isn't worth draining the radiator over and over and it still being murky at the end of it all. I learned the hard way. Yep rusty (hot) water all over you and everything in sight lol. If you use tap water a few times then adding distilled water after is pointless as its going to mix with whats still in the engine. The drain tap shouldn't be stuck, have you tried a spanner or pliers on it?
she wants to do a simple coolant change, not a $1500 service ya hairdresser rofl use a pair of pliers gentlly on the drain plug, they can snap,if you cant get it off, undoing the bottom hose will be fine
Ok, Thanks for the advice, I don't know if the previous owner has used distilled water or just plain tap water.... If it is tap water can it cause any damage?? I'm a bit worried now lol I will get the power flush thingy done..
