Any suggestions on why/how an ECU would break 'all of a sudden'?

Are the any ways it could be repaired? Flash the rom ect...

Its a Blitz remanufactured TT man.

What makes you think it is the ecu that is causing the problem?
Could also be the loom connector where it plugs into the ecu. I had that problem once. MOved the wires a bit and it came good.

I know the problem is the ecu.

new 1 fixed my running on 5 problem. put it in another zed that was fine it ran on 5.

just to prove it wasnt a fluke put it in another and it ran on 5 until the old ecu was put back in....

    the ecu is ka-put.

grab a stocker and socket it. then you can get a tune to suit your zed.. problem solved and safer than a blitz too.

my guess having almost no knowledge of electronics thinks it will probably just be a capacitor or something simple like that .like how half the soarer dashs break and its a 10c fix , you should get it looked at by someone who does that stuff

    same thing happen to me

was spewing when my romtune ecu spat the dummy. I replaced it with a stocker piggybacked with a greddy emanage.

If its totally dead and never runs all 6 then I'd say its most probably a stuffed transistor as they're pretty easy to kill.
