300zx with gt stripes?

hey guys, i gotta pearl white z, lookin at spraying it the new lexus peal white but with a black bonnet and the 2 panels infront and behind the targas black as well. just wondering how white gt stripes would look? any pics or opinions much appreciated cheers

 

Only my opinion of course but I believe the GT stripes should stay in the '60s where they belong. All these try hards adding icons of an era to modern technology is just gay.

 

Depends whether your after "Class" or "Crass".
IMHO GT stripes are "Old Hat" and don't really suit the style of a Z32(By style, I don't mean shape).

Stick with the original idea of Black Bonnet & Roof panels, but also paint the Centre Panel black. Now that is Style and Class!:zlove::zlove::zlove:

 

yeah a agree...i think you should just stick with the nice white your getting whith the black...i wouldnt do the stripes

 

The Autosalon 300zx over east was white with blue 'viper' style stripes. It looked ok but the car had major work done so it suited the car nicely. IMHO don't do it.

 

I would have to agree... i dont think it suits it. "GT Stripes" are more of a 'muscle car' thing... where as i think the 300zx, is more luxury and class imho

GT Stripes are cool on a race car. So are black wheels and black bodykits.

 

maybe on the sides like the BA falcons.....has to be done and seen to comment on thou........

 

Ok people....calling for a photoshop effort here. Maybee black stripes on a yellow Z?

 

white zed with black stripes ,you can get personal plates zebra-1 ,very popular in Africa i hear

 

the only japanese car that could pull off stripes would be a 240Z with wide fenders and go to match. unfortunatly our cars simply do not work with racing stripes.

mmmm, that actually doesn't look too bad. works well with the red. kind of has a dodge viper look about it.

Apart from looking "tryhard" I've always thought stripes would attract the boys in blue..."look at me, look at me" regardless of what you're doing.

 

Sticking with your "Zebra" comment, can you imagine the confusion on whether this car would be White with Black Bonnet/Roof and two White GT stripes, or White with three Black stripes?:zlove::zlove::zlove:

 

I have seen pics of a white show Zed with blue GT stripes and I think it looked unreal.
Cant find the pic but I know someone out there will know the one I mean

 

surprised that no-one has mentioned the beauty of
