Lately ive been toying with the idea of updating my Double Clear Tailights to proper Clear Diffusers, originally i just cut a piece of Florescent light diffuser and at the time i was happy witht the result but i am suddenly swaying towards getting proper 2000spec tailights as they look new and really nice compared to what ive currently got. But it seems more unquie and out there to have double clear tailights so im undecided on what to do atm. Now ive got the red and orange diffusers from the old tailights when i replaced them with the clear diffsuers i made and i was hoping to use them and get clear plastic moulds made up to look more professional and original, but i dunno where or how much such a mould copy would be and my guess is very expensive. So far ive come up with 4 outcomes; 1 just buy 2000spec tailights and put them on and leave them as is. 2 Upgrade my Current Double clear lights with custom moulded Clear Diffusers from the original red and orange disffusers and get the brackets chromed (Probably most expensive route) 3 Buy 2000spec tailights and pull them apart and then add a moulded clear brake light. 4 leave everything the way it is. Obliviously i dont have the immediant funds to attempt this little project but If i know where and how much i can plan for the upgrade. what do u guys think???
personally i dont like the double clears, so from the list you have shown id go with the 2k spec lights... and if u do get the 2k spec lights dontttttttttt modify them lol
Personally I don't like the stock rears. I don't like the 2k rears. I don't like the Altezza Ferrari one (which I have on the car at the moment) I don't really like any rear lights when I think about it. So what does it matter ?
go the 2000spec ones, then you won't modify them. i bet, once you modify your existing ones with clears, a few months down the track you'll spend another wad of money buying the 2000 ones. do it once, do it right. sometimes the most expensive option can be the cheapest one!

thanx for the comments guys, i agree the 2000spec lights look sweet and i even want to get the rear center panel as well. Does anyone know how much the GB prices were for the complete rear set?? is anyone interested in another 2000spec rear tailights GB??

Ah yup i remember reading that thread. I know i could by them from TTZ but they say there only pre orders atm cuz of nil stock so not to sure if i wanna wait for a while to ge them. Not sure if the ebay guy ios still selling his pair but ill have a look around mayb starty a gb and see how things go.
Ok been looking at all the Official 300zx parts dealers world wide that i know of and came up with a full set of genuine 2k tailights with center panel for $419.99 US = $499.85 AUD from AMZ Performance in US but i dont think this includes shipping to AUS. That gives us $68.80 ($8.80 minium Auspost costs for TTZ) extra to see if its cheaper. zoe i was always wondering how it would look with the centre panel having pin stripes as well...have you got any more pics to show the overall look and a few close ups
