hi guys, just came back from town bout half hour ago. went looking at monitors to mold into the component where the cd player sits. going to put the ps2 into my car and i was talking to the dude, he said that ill need something to run the playstation and my cd player? he explained that i wouldnt want to stuff around with the playstation everytime i wanted to play a cd from my cd player. i didnt quite get what he was on about, like i know i need an inverter and a monoter, obviously. does he mean that i wont be able to run a lead from my speakers to my playstaion and cd player? I JUST DIDNT GET IT? whats the set up that some people have? could someone please help out? thanks jess
I think what he meant is you will still need a head unit even if your are putting in a PS2 so you don't have to stuff around with the PS2 every time you just want to listen to a CD. also you won't have radio if you remove the head unit. another thing to notice is you will need an amp to runall the speakers from as a PS2 does not have any high level outputs. my recomendation is to get a head unit with a set of RCA inputs in the lower din and a pull out screen for the upper din. i know you won't get the same effect as a moulded screen. or you could put a unit in the lower din and if you don't really use the vents mould the screen in a bit higher. more custom work but it will be more user friendly. hope this helps
