    $300 may get springs...

But to lower your car properly you will need some proper lowered struts or even some nice coilovers.

A decent lowering setup including lowered tensioned springs and lowered struts to suite will probably cost ~ $800+ (and adjustable coilovers can go upwards from there)

If you are going to do it - i'd do it properly. :zlove:

If that includes decent shocks, springs, installation and alignment it?s about right. I payed around $750 for my KYB?s and King Springs and installed myself, about $60 for full alignment

i hate to be a killjoy...

but a stock 300zx has 117mm clearance... legally, in NSW at least, dunno about other states, u need 100mm clearance.. so u can only really lower it 17mm, bit of a waste of money then really... u can always just do it anyway :p hehe who cares?

True, that way it'll just match everything else on our cars that isn't exactly completely 100% legal

Our z is 110mm at the lowest point quite noticeable to a standard sitting side by side, had it a bit lower than that but failed a WOF in NZ, just jammed on higher profile tyres. I say if thats what you want then go for it, it is all about what you want!!! Go for gold!

    just save up for some

fully adjustable suspension so u can do it your self. that way everytime a cop pulls u over for having your car too low u can just raise and lower it again. Saves u money in the long run! 2nd hand HKS hyper max and damper with low kms from japan usually go for about 1-1.5 grand i think!

Take it to Pedders at James Ruse Drive, Granville. Ask for Con Rougos(owner) he does several members Zed's, and really knows his game.

    HEy

    Hey Mate,

    Hows my old girl going?

I got the rear shocks from jim hunter suspension on third Av in blacktown. I have taken all my cars there for suspension work in the past and i found them to be good guys and also cheap...to replace the rear shocks in the car i paid about $260 fitted for gas monro's. that was up to 1/2 the price some places quoted me for the same product exactly.

I know that cheaper is not always better but as i said...taken all my cars there and never had a prob.

    Josh
