Hello Can anyone recommend a site to download music to my PC? I know some places only let you download to your PC or I thingy only once, like you can't burn it onto CDs multiple times. I keep losing my CDs so want to make multiple copies. I am happy to pay a nominal fee although I do long for the good old days of Napster! cheers and thanks Geoff
Try downloading limewire or bitcommet just be careful wat you download you don't wanna get some badass virus
www.torrentspy.com or www.mininova.org You can download full CD's and discographies for artists! never had a bad download and I have GB's upon GB's of music.
There is software the lets u convert the itunes song files into mp3's which u can then put on any medium. I am assuming u are using iTunes. The torrents are good for mainstream stuff but if u are looking for hard to find songs such as ol' skool hip hop, old albums and singles all the peer 2 peer programs and torrent files are useless.
Download limewire, then limewire pro off limewire (not much difference) Make sure you know what your downloading or you will get a virus. So an anti-virus program will help. Use bit torrent for downloading games or movies, download the torrent (a few kb's) then open it in a torrent program like bit tornado which will download the file from there.
Im with you on this one Limewire is a POS IMHO. Same with eDonkey and all those other ones. Knowing where to source good torrents is an art form.
Agree I go to www.torrentspy.com for music and movies, and even software. www.utorrent.com for the torrent software.
legally, iTunes is awesome. Otherwise, bittorrent or as others have said, limewire can find most things.
There are no viruses in MP3s.. maybe some worms but nothing a good Antlvirus prog can just eliminate. Limewire is yr best bet and make sure that you download songs with a bitrate of 128kbps or higher.
I found DC to be good for all my random stuff but it can be a little dougy and torrents was good for everything else
Frostwire, different version to limewire, but works much better, Previously had problems with limewire, but none with frostwire....
They are all part of the Gnutella network so they're basically the same prog with a different interface
