I know that VG30DET (twin cam single turbo VG30 out of Cima, Gloria, 300ZR, Leopard etc...) is basically the predecessor of the almighty VG30DETT used in ZXs, but what other differences are there between the engines other than turbo setup? Does anyone know if there is any diff in compression? are heads/ valve sizes the same? Do DETs have forged rods as well? Any differences in block?
Basically I want to know any small differences between the engines so any help is appreciated :)

    differents

the ports are different, the vg30det has bigger oval ports, the tt has smaller ports. The valves are the same. the comp is the same, the rods are bigger in the vg30 det to the best of my knowlegde, the blocks are the same.Head bolts are different as are the heads, the inlet runners are longer on the D E T

Rods are the same I think, yeh manifold and plenum are different. Cams are different although the shafts will interchange, springs seem to be the same. DET has a wimpy side feed injector setup, the rail pipes are very small.

Single turbo is better than the twins for most purposes, big GT35R FTW :)
