i was just wondering if anyone has darkly tinted there targas so to block out the sun and has it worked......i know they come with the dots to make it a little less direct sunlight but still its not enough....btw just thought of this as ive seen targa shades are in demand and pity i lost mine at the mechanic while he was rebuilding my engine......he recons no one touched the interior and i belive he didnt but may be one dodgy sydney worker did....
tinter said no good when i had mine done i was going to get the targa's done as well,but the window tinter said they dont tint very well as they have the dots on ,which leaves airbubbles,so i didnt get it done.I dont know if thats true,maybe someone has had it done with good results
Got mine done years ago It made a bit of a difference but nothing stops that car from getting hot. What does amaze me is how unbelievable hot the t-tops get. Park in the sun for a while and you need oven mits to take the tops off. I've heard reports that the increased heat can cause the glass to crack but I haven't had any problems in 5 years of Qld sun. I did my own about 5 years ago. Bought the material-darkest available. Have had no problems. Awkward stuff to work with, until you actually get it on the glass. No bubbles. Live in Vic.-sun not as big a prob. as in Queensland.
yeh ive posted up in wanted just hope there is some around as they seem to just go so quickly.....anyways might go both tint and shades....there is never enough protection for a zed
Warning I saw the tint guy from novus last week and he told me they dont put tint on targas anymore because one exploded after tinting. He is in Noosaville if you want to ring and clarify the details because I asked if he would do mine in a reflective red.
Wow...i wonder how they managed to do that......well if i dont get targa covers soon ill have to go tinting......if they do explode i do believe it is the shops responsibility to replace
I've got targa covers But i'm missing one of the little things they screw into on the targas and another one is broken... where can i get those?
