hey guys, just blew my NA gearbox today 2 weeks after my NA to TT conversion.., just took off at a set of lights and all of a sudden BANG, my 1st gear was gone.. i am now thinking of putting in a TT gearbox in there, however i am using brand new NA lightweight flywheel and heavy duty clutch, is it possible to use them on a TT gearbox ? also is the driveshaft different or the same? i am using a single piece NA driveshaft... thanks
just get another na box.... it wouldnt be coz of your conversion... the gbox is about 15 years old.. was bound to happen sooner or later
oh ok, would it be better to get a 94 + gearbox, because it has stronger internals ? or just stick to basics and get another NA gearbox thanks topher
not 100% sure.. im no expert.. but if i was going to buy a 2nd hand gbox id get it strengthend and everything anyway.. just incase
must be gear box week! mine went last weekend. but all my gears are just seriously slipping. a mate of mine rang around and found that it cost about $800 to buy all the required parts to service your auto box, but i went the other option and decided to fully trick it out. for the right price im getting a 2800 stall converter, stage 2 shift kit, 6 heavy duty clutches and some other heavy duty bits and peices. when finished ive been told the box should be good for 750hp.. so hopw fully it'll last a little longer.. we pulled the box out last night, only took us 3 hours and we'll be putting it back in when it comes back from down south in 3 weeks time. :zlove:
well it was going to cost me $5000 to have it rebuilt back to stock here in the ville. but a mate of mine is a mechanic in the army and loves working on imports. so he pulled my box out of the car and put it on a truck to adelaide to have it rebuilt with extras. all up including frieght it's $2800 plus i'm doing some other things too, like seals and shit while we have the gear box out. so all up should be about $3500 for the box, oil cooler and a nice bm shifter if i can find one?
na manual gearbox where abouts can i get my NA Manual gearbox rebuilt and strengthened in brisbane ?? i have no idea what is involved in strengthening the gearbox lol but anyways, how much do you guys reckon it would cost ?
pm sent! ive heard that the r32 GTR gearbox is the same as the Z32 TT gearbox internally.. is it possible to buy a r32 GTR box and change the internals over ? has anyone done this yet ??
