Very sad new indeed! If this isn't a reminder for us who like to have a little fang in our zeds, then nothing will remind us of the dangers! Be careful driving guys (and girls)! Don't let there be a third in one week!
Shocking news. Hopefully we've had our three now - if you include the great Aussie author Colin Thiele, who is best known for writing the classic 'Storm Boy'. Though Thiele's wasn't as unexpected (heart condition). http://www.abc.net.au/news/newsitems/200609/s1732846.htm Not a good week. Like the week in 1997 when Dianna and Mother Teresa both died. RIP Brocky
Poor Peter My thoughts to his family and friends... This is a huge loss to australia and a bigger loss to motorsport... he will be greatly missed.... As Mike mentioned before... This can happen to the best of us... So lets all try and keep it to controlled conditions and not be stupid on the road...
Peter you were one of the most liked and most renouned racers in Asutralian History. May you rest in peace and god bless you
This is ridiculous, i am glad i am not an australian icon this week i would be locking myself in a rubber room with no cutlery or bed sheets just to survive the week, it fucking sucks brocky was a legend, RIP mate
One who is the object of great attention and devotion An important and enduring symbol A representation of some sacred personage, as Christ or a saint or angel, painted usually on a wood surface and venerated itself as sacred. A few definitions that i took from dictionary.com
Id also like to add, that the Gidgegannup stage if Im not mistaken is Obrien Road. The road that Coyote went into the bushes on. For some WA members; you know the sort of road we're talking.
i dont believe it... wtf this is crazy i think this will hit australia more harder than the crock hunter... no disrespect to either gentlemen. RIP BROCKIE & STEVE
??? As they say, if you play with fire, you're going to get burnt; how much you get burnt, you never know. I accept the risks in motorsport; to me its acceptable. I've been in car accidents where vehicles have been written off; Would I change any of the past, probably not and I doubt Peter Brock would either. If I could have got the funds together I would have been in this rally; I wonder how much this will affect the event; Peter Brock is/was the drawcard, however not intended this way.
OMG i just found out!!! was getting fuel at bp near my house, was wearing my holden jacket (dont ask), and the chick behind the counter said that he died today in a car crash....i was like WTF!!! couldnt beleive it...came home jumped on the net and it was all true!!! rip brock
Peter and Steve ......were very similar characters, loved it and lived totally on the edge, and didn't need much sleep, too much to do. BUT Brocky won 9 Bathursts not 6 I believe?
Well we all saw just how lucky andy was.....and I believe your right about o'brien road. If the roads in the area can take a great like brock, whilst he is in a race prepped car then what chance do some guys like us have. RIP Buddy!
