that only 5% of Zeds are manual? It sounded a bit far-fetched to me

The Japanese did love the auto but 5% sounds a bit slim

5% is oft quoted about soarers too

And I'd be more inclined to believe that given that you hardly ever see manual ones of those. Can't help ya on the zed front tho.

id be inclined to say that its more closer to 25%

manual soarer? you have more chances of seeing the lock nes monster than a manual soarer!

There seem to be a lot more manual 2 seaters than manual 2+2's

I had a theory about this

    Theory goes...

    At the time:

2 seaters are more concerned with people who want sports car and therefore want to change gears.

2+2 seater were more an option for those mummies and daddies who wanted a sports car but had the kiddies and because they weren't really racers they would be more likely to want autos.

Just my theory about the type of people buying the cars originally, as this would have been the market that Nissan would be looking at.

I could be wrong - it has happened once before.

    IB ?????

Or the 2+2 was seen as a Grand Tourer and the 2 seater a sports car?

Or a conjunction of both perhaps one because of the other???

If I could play X-files theme song I would do so.

thats also why the soarer is auto mostly, it a luxury car not a sports car

    Answer >>

I read somewhere (cant remember for the life of me where it was) that >> of all the 2+2's that were made only 5% of them were manual, its a different story for the 2 seaters.
