Z32 Mistery Loose Connector

    Hi All,

    Just got my car back from the garaga because of a heating issue (likely cause was the corroded connector that turns on the fan). In any case since I drove it back my Turbo pressure gauge isn't working anymore (Turbo's themselves definately work). I tried online to find a diagram and did see an image of the stock boost sensor (near the firewall, driver (EU) side). So far it seems everything there is connected but I did find attached loose connection (pulled it up from the side of the engine). Anyone knows what it is, where to connect it and if at all it is related to the Turbo pressure gauge issue?

    That connector is redundant - it is from a system that has been removed.

    Take it back to the shop the have probably left an air line disconnected.

    Hoi Niek, look for some of the small diameter hoses (approx. 5mm outside diameter) that are located around the firewall area and trace back to the plenum. Its possible one may have been knocked off or not sealing properly. One of them will connect to your boost sensor. Succes!

    Hi all.
    Just wanted to inform you of the outcome. I planned another appointment with the garage to look at the Turbo pressure gauge not doing anything at all. As I started the car to go there the gauge suddenly worked again. So very strange. Only other (I would think unrelated) problem that occurred afterwards is that the Hicas warning light turned on when starting the car. Which is strange since that system was removed more than 8 years ago. It will turn off after 10 seconds or so.
    Turning the car off and restarting it (For example to get fuel) the light doesn't turn on again. So only after a cold start.
    In any case I think it's better to create a new post for that.
    Many thanks for all the advice about the Turbo Gauge. Let's see if it stays fixed
