I’ve just ordered 10 of these to get the discounted price of $49ea (normally $69.90) and 7 of them are pre-sold

I was asked by a forum member if there was a need or advantage to fitting this SS clutch line to the zed …….

The oem 300zx clutch line system has a very complicated series of hard lines that run from the Master cylinder down the firewall and along the inner guard to an additional bleeder nipple, then down the chassis to a rubber line that connects to the Slave cylinder.

The oem rubber line deteriorates with age allowing the line to swell when the clutch pedal is pushed (making the clutch pedal mushy) and the line will weep, leak or burst eventually. They also use an inferior Banjo bolt fitting which was only designed to enable speedy attachment on the assembly line.

This complex system is a PITA to bleed ……. taking up to an hour to bleed and consuming numerous bottles of hydraulic fluid in the process. A lot of people never successfully get all the air out of the system, and hope the air will eventually work it’s own way out

The lines I have ordered are one piece teflon lines with Stainless Steel braided reinforcement, PVC outer coating and quality Stainless Steel ball flare end fittings (similar to brake line fittings) to ensure there are no possible leaks. This line joins Master and Slave cylinders directly, eliminating the mushy feel associated with the oem system and also bypassing all the convoluted plumbing and the extra bleeder valve on the inner guard that makes clutch bleeding so difficult.

This line makes clutch bleeding a 5 minute job with minimal hydraulic fluid consumption ( I used less than ONE bottle when I fitted my new Master / Slave / SS line setup)

Because the oem rubber lines are no longer available, EVERYONE will be forced to make a change eventually ....... hopefully before you get stranded in the middle of nowhere.

There are many lines available for the zed, but these are easily the best design I have come across. Elimination of the Banjo bolt fitting is a massive improvement and finer detail such as the 90 degree Stainless Steel ball flare end fittings make this line a much better fit and function than any of the competition

    Delivery is $9.20
(multiple lines can be included for the one price)

Pm me to purchase or if you have any questions

The bulk buy SS clutch lines are all sold but I’ve been offered a price of $55ea for anyone on the forum that missed out. This is still a fantastic price for the best clutch line that's available for the zed

Seeing that the oem rubber clutch line is no longer available, it would make a lot of sense to grab one of these (while the price is right) and stick it in the cupboard to fit at a later date …… before the oem line craps itself when you’re in the middle of nowhere

PM me for details or if you have any questions (Mikhail, you are on the list)

p.s I used to get a TT master AND slave cylinder set off these guys for under $100 ….. so anyone wanting to replace these as well should let me know and I’ll see what they can do for us

Hi Ian, long time no speakie, hope you've been well old mate. I haven't been on the forum for awhile now although I do check now and then to see what's happening and nothing much has changed 'very dull' lol.
Mate, now only if it's possible, see if you can get me these SS Clutch lines please I know it's 4 days past the cut off but see how you go if not I'm not going to stress over it. Also I don't suppose there's anywhere that you may no of to get some good quality SS Brake lines at a good price? I know you can get them elsewhere I'm just not sure of the quality of the product. I tell you being retired and on a pension is no fun believe me.
    Anyway let me know Ian.
    Cheers
    Grahame.
