Hi, has anyone any experience with coilovers and a Victorian RWC? Seems that this might be a bit of a grey area in the law. has anyone got a roadworthy with them fitted recently?
    Cheers

I spent a bit of time looking at this recently. Asked 4 rwc places, one said outright no, 2 said yes if no more than 50mm below stock and ground clearance over 100mm, one said yes with VASS approval. So in summary, looks to be a potluck. VSI8 on the VicRoads website regarding modifications states any modification that changes the handling characteristics of your car needs VASS approval. But it then goes on to say you can replace springs and shocks without approval (no specific mention of adjustable coilovers mind you). Maybe that's where a bit of the ambiguity comes in.

Hmm Pretty much what I thought. So now it is just a question of finding the right provider. Not so easy in rural Vic. Remember the cardinal rule..... never buy without a RWC and yet here I am again. Thanks for the feedback
