I'm starting this as a separate thread not to start a discussion, just to gather actual information about what if any FUCA's people are running in their zeds.

Please restrict your posts to the following if you have aftermarket FUCA's installed.

    What brand and model FUCA?
    When was it installed?
    Have you had any problems?
When were they last checked for wear or deterioration?
Have you experience a failure? Please describe the circumstances.

If it has threads and doesn't twist it will eventually wear from the continuous binding. you know this already

V2 UAS If you can get them is my recommendation

stock if you don't need adjustment .

otherwise the other ones and keep an eye on them in case they come loose

Yes I understand all that, but this thread was to gather actual information of FUCA's in use. First reply has failed.

    What brand and model FUCA?
I have used 3 types of threaded centre types ,different brands from ebay(which is same design as powetrix etc)
    also used V1 UAS

    When was it installed?
    Have you had any problems?

Over the past 10years I have destroyed the threaded type ,some lasted a year others 2 to 3 years but the locking clips around the threaded area either kept coming loose or totally snapped which wears out threaded area giving you play/slack.
the V1 UAS I slightly bent as the body wasn't thick enough .

When were they last checked for wear or deterioration?
now have V2 UAS for 3 years and checked everytime on hoist which is regularly..

Have you experience a failure? Please describe the circumstances.[/QUOTE]
no failures so far with current

Shane if something is going to fail it will on my car .
it gets driven hard and with bigger rubber so stresses are up there.

Just trying to save you inevitable headaches I've been through .

Yeah I appreciate that thanks Rob and I am taking everyone's comments on board. Sadly I have a very small budget to work with and the car has to be ready for Bathurst in 4 weeks, in whatever form I can get it to.
