My 1992 JDM TT has a shot driver side rack end.

Bursons reckon there are two listings for rack end to suit this car?? not very clear on what is for na or tt

Can anyone confirm for the the correct part I need to be asking for or looking for?

I can confirm when talking about Z32's built from July 1989 up to February 1996, the same part number is used for both the left & right tie rods on NA & TT's.

    Part Number: 48520-33P25
    Description: SOCKET KIT-TIE ROD,OUTER

What are you referring to when you mention "rack end"?
Post your VIN & we'll check it out.

I wonder if one is for the rear HICAS setup.

Is there something described as tie rod inner, a part with ball joint that bolts onto the rack ends?

Thanks :) I am referring to the 'rack end' or 'inner tierod' that lives between the power sterring rack and the tie rod. the one that is covered by a boot usually. as pictured above.

I can give you my VIN in about 10 mins

    Here you go.

    Part Number: 48521-10V06
    Description: SOCKET ASSY-TIE ROD,INNER

Fits NA & TT's built from 07/1989 up to 08/1995
Both Left & Right are the same part number.

There is an alternative part number 48521-10V08
This is from the later model Z32's from 08/1995 through to the end of production.
It will interchange with the earlier part.

The above is for one part only.
There are other pieces in a kit, which includes rubber boots etc.

    Part Number: 48203-10V25
    Description: BOOT KIT-POWER STEERING GEAR

Interesting that they have two lengths because one of the threads that I was reading about using the rackend spacer to get a smaller turning circle mentioned reducing the length of the rod to compensate for the longer combined length of the rack with rackend spacer.

You might think about improving turning circle

You might think about improving turning circle, the opportunity is there to investigate.
If the measurements line up, you would buy the shorter tie rod and also buy the bolt on rack end spacer. The rack end spacer has to go on the passenger side so you will have to swap the existing good tie rod from the passenger side over to the driver side and the new bits go on the passenger side, read the expert's thread.
