Could have been worse, they have a pile of "the Smart State" in the corner that they give to unsuspecting new arrivals changing from interstate plates.
Got up early this morning to finally lower my car. Well, it lowered, just not where I wanted it at. Slight disappointment, tein super streets, at there lowest. Might have to get some custom MCA gear organised. anyway before/during/after photos. The car had a forward rake of 10mm, after lowering it now has a 20mm forward rake. if I cut the rear bottom spring locking ring off, i can get the rear end down another 10mm, and the rake wont be so obvious and the car will sit more level. Ill drive it a week or two and see where it settles first before i decide to do that.
I bought a replacement rear brazzillion panelfor my car. Mine was getting old, and this new one had factory emblems aswell. The old ugly one For some reason, my bootlid didn't have all the mounting points? The new panel Out with the old!
How has the car settled now after another two weeks? I have Tein SS' and I have it a decent amount above the lowest setting and my car sits nicely. I would make the assumption that you car does just need some time for the weight of the car to settle on the suspension.
It hasn't lowered any more. Its the same height as the photos of your car in your signature. That's still way too high for me. I want mine about where Anti's height is. I have to modify the front bar if i go that far though. Be willing to swap with someone to other struts that go lower.
Get some type flex teins if you need to go lower !! Or plenty of coil overs from r32 Gtr that would suit
Maybe my older type SS coilovers could go lower as I can get the wheels under the wheel arches on my lowest setting..
There is & it will be stated on the sticker what model they are intended for. My Tein SS never went low enough for me, so I got Flex.
Super street and Street Advance will always have a limited range of adjustment as the do not have an adjustable clevis. This feature is why they are considered ADR compliant. If you want to go lower you need Flex Z.
There definitely z32 struts. wonder if the Strut tops from the kyb agx will swap over to the teins? There's a good 30-40mm drop there.
GUESS WHOSE BACK!!! All fixed! Need to redo the paint, it's had a hard life over the last 6 months. Need to get it glowing again!
scratches be gone! Before After I will have this panel completed shortly, and will update the thread.
nah, scratch is good for fine swirls. I used menzerna gear for this, these were deep scratches. It took 6 passes with a heavy cut to flatten the surface out.
Had it back one week, and this happened. Got swiped down the side by a truck who cut the corner. wonder how long its going to be gone for this time.
