    Hi all,

I have read countless threads on this subject but need some additional information and advice.

After my OEM clutch hose gave up on me and split I decided to replace it with a 1 piece SS braided clutch line from MC to SC. I have removed the entire hydraulic clutch system i.e. MS, SC, pipes, T-Junction and the horrible damper pipe. I'm replacing the master and slave while I'm at it.

Should I route directly from the master to the slave with no zig-zags or follow the OEM route through brackets/heat shields on the chassis?

I know RHD peeps recommend the UAS line but I cannot find it on their site. also I notice it has banjo fittings on both ends - is this right?

Does anyone have pics of one of these installed? Does anyone in NZ make them?

Pirtek and Enzed (assuming they are over there) should be able to make you one. just take the hard line in and the length you need.

If the braided line is the correct length it should route straight from the master to the slave via the top of the gearbox. It's very important that the line doesn't rest on the dump pipes.

I had a custom one made and routed through the stock shields on the chassis. Running banjos at both ends works fine but you've just got to make sure the bolt you get is short enough that it wont bottom out before clamping on the washers. Also make sure that the faces around the ports on the slave and master are flat not scratched or dented so that the washers can seal.

    HEL

I bought mine off EBay, HEL was the brand. Initially I thought it was too short but it worked out OK. It runs straight down from the master, over the starter and onto the slave. Plenty of clearance to the dumps. Only cost about $40 from memory, and came with the correct tapered seat fitting to fit the master.

The UAS items had a Heat-deflecting sheath over them(to further reduce the likelihood of "Boiling" the fluid). It IS well worth the additional trouble!!!
