    Wow gumtree seems full of scammers and lowballers - had an offer of $3k!

    Is it worth paying the $$ for carsales?

    zeds are tough to sell these days, you have to wade through the trolls and lowballers to find a buyer. take your time, and ignore the fools.

    theres not much point advertising on carsales if your on other sites like gumtree, people who are looking know to check a few places to find what they are after.

    Yeah not after a quick sale so biding my time. My first time selling a car in Oz so all new to me.

    Just wondered if less crap comes through Carsales than Gumtree just to save my time/bandwidth! :D

    I found I got a better quality of buyers through carsales.
    Not too bad for a few hundred bucks and they provide you with sales stickers to put on your car.
    Gumtree harbours a fair bit of trash/trolls.

    I think so; the average scumtree user is... Well you get the picture.

    Carsales is not expensive (from memory), you can renew your ad as often as you need, and generally you're exposed to a better quality of buyer.

    Dont come down to the price level of the rust buckets with leaking turbos. Stick to your guns.

    The potential for a TT Slicktop is amazing - Would recommend to a friend.

    Thanks Rory - certainly a nice Z you have there. Makes me not want to get rid of mine.
