Got an S2 wreck nearby and Dude hasn't pulled the dash. Don't know if I can be ****ed and it's going to scrap soon. Is it possible?

Possible. Not recommended. You cant get a screwdriver to some of the mounting screws. I did Cara's, by destroying the mount, and some of the screw holes in the computer. Took hours. Bring bandaids and a swear jar, you'll be bleeding and rich.

I didn't struggle that bad doing the core dash in, the computer for the climate is the one there right? Pull the seat out, pull the clutch, steering column trim and air ducting. Take some good working lights that fit under there too.

    Umm its going to scrap.

cordless angle grinder and a 10mm socket and phillips head screw driver.

    20min tops.

took me about 1hr to swap out S1 to S2 computer in my TT manual. Only pulled the trim from under the column and the ductwork that runs through (to the door vents if memory serves). Takes a bit of contorting, stubby screwdrivers and used tech bits that fitted into a small socket set.

Right shoulder and ribs were sore for a few days afterwards, but that's about it.

So I went and did this today. Honestly it really wasn't that bad at all. With the under-dash trim panel removed I had it out in less than 20 minutes. All you need is a philips screwdriver and the one I brought wasn't even a stubby.
