car: 1990 aus delivered 2+2 N/A manual. start car cold, higher idle and drops to roughly 750rpm when warm,80degrees celcius. Datascan shows 750rpm fluctuates slightly and AAC shows 12. TPS is .44v and hard idle switch is on.Up the revs and the hard idle turns off and the TPS reading rises.Turn on A/C or move the steering and revs compensate. Go to active test and hit start for idle adjustment, AAC guage on datascan now reads 0. adjust the idle air screw to 650 rpm, stop test and idle doesn't come up to 750rpm, go through the procedure again set idle to 750rpm stop test and idle doesn't rise and AAC reads 12. during the test adjusting the air screw will change the revs. Clean throttle bodies, all connections clean Any thoughts? Regards Trev.
That's pretty close, if its not rough and doesn't stall I'd be happy. That said I ignore, the fact that mine idles at 900 so I might not be the best example.
From the ConZult Manual: Warm up engine Specification: Idle : 15 - 40 % (Non Turbo), 15 - 35 % (Twin Turbo)
For interest sake, adjust the idle screw while it is idling normally and see if the AAC voltage changes.
