    Hi all, basic question really...

I'm getting the whole car resprayed soon (it's going into the shop anyway as you can see) - do you think I should keep the mottled chip-guard paint at the bottom under the black pin stripe or just have it shiny and smooth all over?

    Cheers all.

    Personally, shiny and smoooooooooooooooooooth.

But what look are you going for? I can see you've got stock items, like rear bar, mud guards, tail lights, wheels and rear quarter reflectors. If you're deliberately looking to maintain the stock items, then fair enough keep it that way. But if you're planning to upgrade those parts over time and maybe add a bodykit, then I'd smooth it off.

Yeah that's a pretty valid point - I doubt I'll change the rear bar anytime soon (clear tail lights in the mail as we speak however) but I might change the front bar later in the year.

I'm leaning towards smoothing it all out.

Have you a shop in mind for the work? I highly recommend Cameron's Body Works - 708 Boundary Rd, Coopers Plains QLD 4108, 3277 3475. They prepped, painted and fitted the rear bar, sideskirts, door fillers, front lip and nose panel for around 1k. Part of that was they were all the genuine urethane so he knew they would be easier to prep and fit than working with fibreglass parts - appreciated his honesty straight up with the quote when discussing it.
