This stock TT engine is currently still in my Zed and will be removed on the 13th of July 2009 to make way for my project engine. If you are looking for a running engine with a bit of life still in it, or an engine to rebuild then don't miss this one. This long engine comes complete with turbos, stock dump pipes and an underdrive pulley. It has 168,000 klms on the clock and has been regularly maintained. The only items not included are the front and throttle cable covers, alternator, AC compressor and coil packs. Also with this package I'll include an engine stand, stock harmonic balancer and the upper wiring harness. Due to the size and weight, this is a pick up or frieght at own expense. This engine will be at Castle Hill in Sydney for a short time only and if not sold will be transported down to Nowra NSW. I'm asking just $2,000. I had a compression test carried out on Monday before the engine was removed and all cylinders were 100-105.

My VG30DETT engine is now ready to go. Although the compression is down, this was a running engine that would be ideal for a rebuild. I believe that rebuilding a spare engine makes sense, as you can take your time doing the rebuild and then your car is only off the road for a minimum amount of time during the change out. This is what I have just done. It has taken me a year and a half to complete my project engine. So if like me, you'd like to do your own project engine without taking your car off the road for months, this engine may be just what you need! I will be transporting this engine from Sydney to Nowra this week, so if your interested don't wait to let me know as their could be considerable freight savings by freighting from Sydney, rather than Nowra. We all like to see higher numbers but lower ones does not necessarily mean that the engine is bad. Numbers can be low for all sorts of reasons depending on compression ratios, cams, wear and tear, if the engines been sitting for a while, cranking speed when testing and different brands and ages of guages will differ also. I would take an engine showing lower numbers that were even over an one with higher figures but with greater differences between cylinders! Just my opinion and experience.
