I want to get more power in my car.
    Like we all do!
I just don't know what to get besides extractors?
I have a 92 na manual. Everything is stock except the exhaust.
    What can I get?

    Thanks :) :br::br:

How much power do you want and how much money do you have?

Keeping it NA, all the power increases are expensive and marginal. TT conversion or even TT the NA is the most cost effective way.

Didn't really want to convert it to TT.
If I was to do that, I might as well just buy a TT and sell my na.
But if its only marginal, might just have to spend money on looks for now!

    This.

Do the suspension and an exhaust you like the sound of and be happy. If you want to go fast do an enggine swap (TT, V8 or other)

If your NA is immaculate do the NA to TT swap otherwise just get a TT.

When I was looking at converting my NA to TT I was quoted 8k as the drive in drive out price (in including front clip) to do the job by UAS.
Mind you that is just with a 2nd hand engine not a reconditioned one.

I ended up just buying a TT but in hindsight it would have been cheaper to spend the 8k on a swap (assuming the 2nd hand TT engine held up). I have spent over 20k on my TT on mods plus restoration and it still isn't in as good condition as my NA was.

    pod filter
light weight fly wheel + decent clutch.
    one piece tailshaft
extractors + exhaust with high flow catalytic convertors
new fluids, plenum pull and under usual deletes
underdrive pullay and light weight pulley set.
    tune to suit.

these are the mods available for the NA without opening the motor or doing anything to serious

    Build with high comp pistons.
rebuild and highflow heads, with more aggresive cams.
    oversize throttle bodys
    nos

these sorts of things are all possible for a NA, though ive never seen anyone go that far.

plenty of people with the frist lot i listed though, and it makes for a nice responsive and reasonbaly quick car.

    dont we all!!

as others have said.. no money thrown at an NA will be as cost effective as chucking a couple of huffers on there or if you want to keep na go the LS1 swap.. theres a guy in the rebuild thread that made the LS swap look easy! its not

usuall extractors/exhaust/intake and tune is about as far as you would go

    maybe some cams

free flowing catback, pod, good clutch and good tyres. Don't bother going any further than that.

Looks like I'm going to have to go to TT if I wanna go faster.
Might just keep make her look pretty for now.
And down the road swap it for a tt or just sell and upgrade.
