Hey guys my spoiler is starting to peel off and paint is flaking off, and the black strip that says fair lady z twin turbo near the 3rd brake light is stuffed, I'm wanting to do the brazillian to the boot but not sure what's involved, can someone post a link to a previous thread for me?

You will need to remove all hatch trim so you can get to the bolts that are holding onto the spoiler. Then you just use either a screw driver with a cloth on it & start pulling on it & minutes later you would have it off the car...just be careful not to dent the hatch & check for rust once its off. Or you can use heavy machinery like a mini crane like somebody else did :p

I'd recommend not using a screwdriver.

There's a lot of sealant under that spoiler, and the best way of cutting through it is either with piano wire or a long, thin blade.

I would also not recommend using a screwdriver. It is far from the best way to do it.

As Instamatic has said, best to use piano wire if you can find some.

There are two bolt-holes that will need to be welded up if you decide to proceed with the Brazilian.

To still be legal, ADRs require a car to have a third brake light. You can remove the wing/repaint the hatch and use an LED strip at the top of the hatch glass. From memory, ADRs require internal TBL's to be sealed to the glass as well.

A better, more appropriate method would be to acquire a third brake light from either your local Nissan Dealership or from ConceptZPerformance

Yup, use a high E string for best results. Try not to cut yourself.

Guitar bass string in a sawing motion works best.
I have a spare complete 2 seater hatch if you want to buy it and work on it without touching your existing one in the mean time.
