what would you buy a 2 or 2+2?

haahahaha I didn't try to fit all 4 in my boot! The best I could do was one, with 2 masquerading as kids in the back seat. I did have a passenger so I couldn't put one in front.

You make a good point haha! Although you should see the size of some of the suitcases my friends bring to the airport.. can't even fit everything into a normal taxi.

I had to carry my twinz rear on the passenger seat, poking up through the hatch, driving down main north road. It kept catching the wind so I had to hold it down with one hand and drive!:D The police car next to me at the lights were amused and laughed!!

I've been away with the wife many times in both the 2 seater TT and the convertible. The wife does not pack light, but plenty of room in either car.

i did, you clearly didn't do it right, just fold the seats down, easy done. even went for a thrash down the old road with them in there on the way home lol

    owned both..... but....

I love my 2+2 that I have now because, with kids, the rear seats are extremely helpful :) So its either 2+2 or no Zed at all. But I also used to own a 2 seater zed (To this day I regret selling that car). On looks alone, I have always prefered the 2 seater over the 2+2. And I also like nice stereo installs, and a good stereo install is much easier on a 2 seater, with its deeper boot and rear parcel shelf...

In terms of driving, the sensation is hard to describe. The 2+2 feels more stable in the bends, but the 2 seater feels more nimble and willing to enter the bend.

    What he said.

I have both. I like both, but each have their advantages.
Its like discussing Auto or Manual.
Appearance, the 2+2 looks better to me for the longer lower sleek look.
The 2+0 looks a bit like its been kicked in the arse to make it a bit shorter.

Either way they both draw looks from the general public.

Well your kids must be old enough to not need capsule, child seat with frame or booster cushion, because I can't see how you could get those in. (Designed for Z32)
I like having the rear seats, very handy to have to fit one extra person feet behind the passenger and body laying sideways across the back (complaining the whole 20min trip) hahaha.
Just like the old Porsche 928s.

On looks, I like the slightly stretched lines of the 2+2 :)
The 2+0 is almost as pretty :D

Well I've since bought a 2 seater slick top after giving my original opinion in this thread.

I prefer the slicktop over my 2+2, the car is much nimbler, feels lighter in the way it changes direction, it's a lot more precise and just an overall better chassis than a 2+2 targa. It really handles fantastically.

I'm not sure if it's due to the shorter wheel base or if my new car has had some mods done to gain more lock, but my 2 seater doesn't need a football field to turn around in like the 2+2 did. In my old car most u-turns were a clutch kick and every park was reversed into. Every u-turn in my new car is a clutch kick, too, but that's just because it loves it :p

I like both, I only ended up with a 2+2 since it was the best car I could find. If I was ordering from factory I'd have gone 2+0 TT manual. Sometimes I wish I was older in the mid 90's but then again the phones and things sucked ass. If there were a nissan remake of the Z32 in TT I'd buy one right away! hmm exact same car only the modern upgrades, lower from factory. I can dream!

2+2 has been handy tho, I've had 6 people in it and even at 23yrs old everyone couldn't believe the awesome noise and power. I get told how nice the Z is everywhere I go, so it's a keeper.

    Nope...

My daughter has been travelling in the Zed since she was 6 months old. I got a compact baby seat, designed for smaller cars. For the first year of life, the baby seat was rear facing. After one year, it was forward facing. Its still in the car, and she comes with us on club cruise days.
