Good ideas??? They were awesome ideas!!! :)

I just never had enough time to get close to finishing it after starting a business in Australia, then moving to the US to start an additional enterprise.

I just bought 2 brand new Nissans here for what it costs for 1 in Oz :)

Anyways, Dean, I hope to see that engine kicking ass like it was supposed to.

and for those who haven't seen it, this was a play run at Leyburn in 2004... back then it had hi-flowed stock turbos and 550cc injectors, no exhaust....
    http://youtu.be/-Jd9WR6FsRw

I pulled it off the road shortly after that when 1 turbo started burning oil, that was the last time it was on the road.

Good to see your back here! Thanks for the video too mate, love to get as much background as I can on this zed.

Small update, I'm currently waiting the get in contact with the engine builder so he can inspect the block and do any work that needs doing.

Also made an order with Coz, I'll soon be the owner of a set of Mike Smith manifolds. Can't complain with that :)

I was never going for high numbers, or response, I wanted a comfortable medium really. Decided to use the S1 manual cams and cam gears from the heads I pulled off the TT motor. I would have liked to use my S2 adjustable cam gears from my 97, however they don't fit onto the S1 cams, and this build is already way over budget, so another $1000 on JWT 400+ cams wasn't looking good haha.

You did, at zedfest. I remember.

Looks like it could be a Ralco RZ with brass transmission linkage bushes. The Stillen shifter appears to be the same design but the shifter is black not chromed.

The Z1 shifter has transmission linkage bearings instead of bushes.

Thanks for your input, unfortunately I need a Z1 short shifter, so this will be up for grabs.

    Update

Been slack, so here's a few little updates.

    1. Block and S2 heads dropped off at my engine builders. The motor will be stripped down, re-honed, bearings and rings replaced and all assembled with a full genuine Nissan gasket kit, minus the head gasket, for which I'll be using a 1.25mm cometics metal gasket. Will also be using ARP head and main bolts. Using manual cams to keep costs and spool time down.

    2. Coz order made. Items purchased including gasket kit, ARP head/main bolts, MSP manifolds, lightweight pulley kit, plus a few bits and pieces.

    3. Brand new cowls installed, they came with the green zed so why not.

    4. Windscreen was broken during some piss weak hail storm. Mega pissed off cause three hail was so small, but what do you do :(
