high revs slow acceleration

    Just recently when i was driving into town my car just started revving high and putting out way less power. Like i accelerate and its hardly going any faster...
    What could be the cause of this?

    well yeah, its either that if its manual, or a shattered torque converter if auto...the old HT Prem I restored had this issue when i got it, got the auto out expecting worse, but found the torque converter sounded like a babies rattle :p

    It is a manual N/A 2+2 model.
