Other than The VG.... just an enquiry as i had a few people telliing me to try something different... This is clearly another random question so please dont try to set me on fire....
I am with Lexi even a 13bTT from an FD would be great, they are very capable angnes and the weight reduction would be insane. also very compact and should sit nicely behind the front cross member. I can just imagine a bridgy turbo pulse coming from the Z. Win every which way I think.
hard to say the FC is 86-91 (S4 and S5) both these engines are 13b turbos the S4 has a smaller turbo amongst other issues but both are capable of 400rwhp with strong mods. these may be a bit old but overlap with early Z32's and emission requirements on their engines would be similar to our Z I thought, the same would also hold true for the FD (S6-8) which is 92 - 02, depends on requirements I was under the impression it was on the based age of the engine or body whichever was newer. I could be wrong though.
top alcohol motor? not very good on fuel (something like 103 Liters of fuel during warmup, burnout, staging, and the quarter-mile run) but they are fast and you only live once
5.0 Litre Aluminium Rover V8 (254kW) with a couple of bolt-on turbo's. Massive lessening of weight compared to the VG, with ~30kW extra power (~145 Kg vs ~300 Kg).
Apparently good for Hybrids, but otherwise, not so. http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/threads/...sk-Generator?p=9580239&viewfull=1#post9580239
Not the specific engine. That sized one is for a bug. But the myt type. Some 20 liter equilivant sized motor to fit in.
I was considering a 20B after I pulled the V8 out. It's quite a big engine, not much smaller than the VH45. The cost of them is ridiculous though. $5k for motor, loom and ECU! If I could get one cheap I would do it.
13b or 20b would be ridiculous, it has crossed my mind so many times. Seeing someone do it, and documenting it would be amazing though!
