Hi guys, Since i will be going TT end of the year (hopefully ), i have decided to start accumulating part slowly...i do not really want to spend money on something that isnt the best or have the most options needed, so since i got plenty of time to sort my TT parts i will be getting the best options for my build. My question is, what is the best boost controller in your opinion? Can be value for money or simply just the best... I have a HDI boost controller already which i got off Brad (Painter)...is it any good? I was told that the Greddy Profec B is a good boost controller. Any input will be much appreacited. Abraham
You were told right the only problem with this controller is the inability of the owner to set it up correctly. I was told that the Greddy Profec B is a good boost controller.
I use a Blitz ID-3. Has all the options needed, dunno if it has all the options you'll ever want. Does speed based boost control etc. Eboost2 has more features, if you're looking for something with everything I'd prob start there or look into engine management that comes with everything (you don't need this but the option is there).
I would like to get a boost controller that basically would have all options but be easy to control...so basically something better than the profec b? I wouldnt want to spend money on an aftermarket ecu at this stage, so would eboost2 be the better option? Abraham
I went from profec b spec 2 to hdi Evo and love the hdi. I wanted simplicity and something that did what I wanted it to do when I adjusted it. Would highly reccomend it.
I'm going for an eboost2 for mine, not too hard to work out and acts as a boost gauge and controller at once.
Thought i would ask this here instead of starting another thread... Im getting a Haltech ecu...so would i need to still get a boost controller or would i be able to do that with the Haltech ecu? I have a HDi boost controller already...but i can get the eboost2 for really cheap...so should i get the eboost2? Abraham
well would i need all the "better" features of the eboost2 or do i just keep the Hdi boost controller? Abraham
really depends on what the eboost can do man. ive never heard of the Hdi to be honest. at the end of the day it comes down to user ability. the HKS EVC-s has like many set points, boost repsonse settings etc so you can control boost all through the rev range and i find it shit and rather a simpler, point and shoot controller like the eboost, or the likes!
http://autospeed.com/cms/title_The-Independent-Electronic-Boost-Control-Part-1/A_2541/article.html By far the most cost effective. Also maps your boost to load rather than just a max setting. Im dropping mine in this w/end hopefully.
Just thought i would update this... I just bought an Eboost 2 for $300 yay LOL Thanks guys for all the help and information Abraham
