Hesitation - Loss of Power... Please Help!

I was driving home last night, (babying the 300) with the odd squirt here and there...

Then I noticed half way home a loss of power \ hesitation when taking off from the lights.

Got home, turned her off... Started her again 5 mins later, same thing.

Definitely feeling hesitation, as though she doesn't want to change down a gear... more like wanting to hold a higher gear.

So I put her in neutral, and gently rev up from idle to 2k... approaching 1.5k the engine was hesitating, and at 2k started vibrating... so I quickly let off the gas. :(

Can anyone please explain to me what happened, and how to resolve it?

My car has been good to me so far, and I look after her. :zlove:

Hello, I know this is my first post.

But first port of call would be checking the ECU for any codes, it might help you narrow down what the cause of the problem is, quite easy to do, remove the carpet from the kick panel in the passenger foot well, remove the 4 x 10mm bolts holding the board and remove, on the side of the ECU will be a little screw, with the ignition in the accessory position (car not started) turn the screw with a flat head screw driver fully clockwise, wait 2 seconds and then turn the screw fully counter clockwise back to its starting position. then on the dash you will have the engine warning light flashing, count the flashes it gives, long flashes are the first number, short flashes are the second number

IE: if it flashes 2 long and 3 short then repeats that, the error code is 23

It can flash up more than one code, so you need to pay attention. if the code is 5 long flashes, followed by 5 short, then its code 55 and no error codes are present.

To get out of ECU code checking, turn the screw again fully clock wise, and then fully counter clock wise.

But working with the information given, it could be the MAF.

Codes for the ECU check are as follows.

    11: CAS circuit
    12: MAF circuit
13: engine coolant temp. sensor circuit
    14: vehicle speed sensor circuit
    21: ignition signal circuit
    26: boost pressure sensor
    31: ECU
    32: EGR function
33: exhaust gas sensor circuit left
    34: det sensor circuit
35: exhaust gas temp. sensor circuit
    42: fuel temp. sensor circuit
    43: TPS circuit
    45: injector leak
    51: injector circuit
53: exhaust gas sensor circuit right
54: signal circuit from A/T control to ECU
    55: No Errors shown
