Dave, That is OK. As I said it is not everyone's cup of tea. However I like to know which bit you didn't like. Bumper or diffuser?
I hate to say this... But I gotta agree with Daves post... Sorry dude, really not a fan... It just looks like its been stuck to the car with sticky tape... Love the bumper... Hate the diffuser...
How to send it is the issue, depending on the size you need and what pieces it can be cut up into to fit tough bags. Either Pb5 or Tb6, work out exactly what you need and tell me the dimensions. http://auspost.com.au/personal/packaging-materials.html#paddedbags The large panels look like about 45x15 cm, the 2 triangular section would be about the same, then some for the pipe area, I am thinking 2 x 45x30cm bits. $45 posted would be about right. Would love to see this on a Y2K front bar. Here's a test piece with a rough black spray can job, powder coating would be the way to go, a zinc phosphate base coat is the way to go to make the PC really tough apparently. http://www.dulux.com.au/specifier/o...coatings-products/product-detail?product=9077 Where I was going with it, dunno if you can english wheel this stuff to make it domed like the centre panel. More inspiration.
Personally, I don't mind the bumper but the diffuser is a little OTT. With some skirts the whole package will probably look a bit more balanced, but it seems a bit out of theme at the moment.
hey man firstly i gotta say nice work looks like youve put this together well and it looks like a quality job now this what you have tried to replicate may look tough and awsome on another car but your car is way too dam clean for this... do you have plans to go crazy with the rest of the body, coz now it needs it... fat skirts, a lip on the front bar, some fins on the front bar aswell, will certainly give you that overall crazy racer look. the way it is now on its own looks way out of place... to me for now id remove those side wings sticking out... i think it will look great with the overall car look. those wings give it a more crazy look, and your car is not crazy at the moment it looks very clean etc... its the whole overall package look you gotta go for... take those wings off for now, it will look heaps better. then when you go some crazy with the car chuck them back on.. can u take some pics without those wings on ??? id really like to see it without them on ?
mmmmmmmmm. ye, nah. sorry kabir, can see the money and time that went into this, but it looks like darth vader rammed his head up your zeds ass.
I feel discombobulated when I look at it... there is too much going on with the rear and although the vents are finished nice, it just looks out of place to the rest of the Z rear design. Look at how clean this simple design is on the left. edit; Or my other photoshop hack http://i50.tinypic.com/2qlg6c9.jpg edit 2, my latest http://lh6.ggpht.com/_aqdJkNjP_iM/TGMKh4b7t_I/AAAAAAAAAWM/5fScJcN43zQ/rrr.jpg
My opinion. If you want the ricey over-the-top look, You gotta either do it 100% or not at all. It just looks too out of place, Pick one extreme, and just go for it. Your car's always been a clean classy zed. You changing teams?
Kabir, Good work for doing something different. I think it has the potential to look great, but won't know until it's all completed (bodykit). Sideskirts will have to be chosen carefully to pull it all together (idea). Are you going to paint/coat the rear fins?
Not sure if I will add anymore bits. It is bit hard to find out what will be final look until you get them fitted. But without getting all other wide body bits it wasn't quiet right. But full kit 5k plus postage and fitting, paint will end up 9k which is a unrealistic project. I am planning to go back original exhaust setup without diffuser like below and decide which one will be final..
