Hey guys, am curious as to paint codes for the 300zx. I went to the local auto shop and bought 2 litres of High gloss Metallic Black specifically for the 89 Z32 300zx, they guy said that the one he mixed was the correct colour CLR114... I sprayed the bonnet and it turned out a dark metallic GREY. I went back to the auto shop this morning and politely told the guy whom mixed the paint for me "ARE YOU F*#KING KIDDING ME, it aint the colour i told u i needed". He told me that the 300zx has no colour code. I proceeded to Quote the colour code on the compliance plate and he said that it wasnt his fault as their computers dont have "import colour codes" They have ordered the extra paint in that is needed to make the 2ltr mix i need.. He told me that the colour code i gave him is actually for a 90 model skyline and not a Z32 300zx. Just curious if anyone knew if this information is fact or not? new colour code is 732G

i do believe baz would have it right, after a bad mix and demanding they make me another, the paint shop made me 3 litres and the car is almost done.
Activate thread dig. My car is a white pearl, fairly certain it is Glacier White Pearl KH6 (can someone confirm, car is in dp) but it seems getting this colour is a challenge, and I have been told (by a panel beater with a lot of experience) if I spray the doors I would most likely need to redo the whole side as there is no way to make the paint match perfectly any more. Is this Correct? If anyone knows a great panel beater in Brisvegas can you let me know?
Boozx your colour is a three layer so yes to get 90% match your front guard and rear 1/4 will need blending
Lucky you, my parents had a pearl white maxima back in the day, 90' model. Was in an accident that damaged the front guard and bumper, in the end they had to spray just about the whole car to get it to match. Spraypainter politely told them to never come back again because it took him so long to get the paint right. Most Nissans I have seen with that pearl white have actually faded and turned a slight yellowish colour over time which makes it really hard to paint match without a full respray. Goodluck
