A/C clutch has a couple of bearings in it, both replacable in car. But it may also be a compressor problem.

try a bearing centre ,there about 60 percent cheaper then genuine and there useally from the same bearing company,

Depends on the kind of noise it is making.
*A high pitched squeal with the A/C on (clutch engaged) will be indicative of a loose auxiliary belt.
*Constant loud squeal as soon as car is running is siezed compressor
*Other noise when A/C is on is indicative of compressor. Helpful diagnostic in manual suggests that "replace compressor" if this is the case. Does not give any further component diagnosis. Only bearing shown is within the clutch assembly, which can be removed without having to remove compressor from car. A bearing shop (CBC for example) wont be able to give you a bearing without being able to bring your existing one in as a match, or at least knowing the dimensions of it.

If you find you need another compressor, I've got one here

The pulley bearing is 40 x 62 x 24. It is a NSK 40BD219DUK. It is staked in the pulley so I guess it is not a press fit but you will need to remove the staking to get it out and then stake the new bearing in. The pulley is retained on the housing spigot by a circlip so its not too difficult to replace the bearing with the compressor in the car. The swash plate shaft bearings are needle rollers and are internal and so can not be changed without stripping the compressor. But if they are shot you can probably throw the unit away.

    Hope this helps

I just had a thought. I don't see how your noise can be the pulley bearing since the pulley is belt driven and so runs as long as the engine is running. When you switch the A/C on the clutch starts the compressor so if thats when the noise starts then it must be internal.

If you replace the compressor you need to make sure the pipes are clean ie no metal dust/oil mix has migrated from the compressor otherwise they need to be flushed. Also check the condenser in case the contamination got that far. You should also replace the receiver/dryer.

    Hope this helps
